But longer adventure = more AP, so she'll be getting something for her efforts.Alea iactanda esthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17951704235056042923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714327904580798843.post-44084494634980100422016-02-08T23:36:08.208+00:002016-02-08T23:36:08.208+00:00I'd say Travjane won the encounter after a fas...I'd say Travjane won the encounter after a fashion. If I had been refereeing the session, I would have awarded XPs or whatever. Not as many as she would have earned for gaining the needle, but some. (And I'm a stingy referee/DM/GM/etc.)

My thinking is this: She successfully cast several spells, she avoided attracting those imps who bedevil her, she devised a plan which came very close to working, she rescued herself from the trap Kamillo sprang on her, and she successfully intimidated an older, stronger, more experienced, man to make a clean escape.

She's a young peasant girl who has been in the "big city" for just over a week and she came *that* close to tricking Kamillo out of the needle.

Call it a triple instead of a home run, but she definitely got a hit her first time up!
